Graphics Interface is the longest continuously running Graphics and Interaction conference. In 2023 we will celebrate its 49th edition. GI has a long legacy of attracting high-quality research work on human-computer interaction, interactive systems, computer graphics, and visualization. The conference brings together researchers in these fields from across the globe, and it is an essential event for bringing together international and Canadian researchers, academics, and industry practitioners.
This year, GI will have a hybrid participation model where participants will be able to attend the conference in person or online. This will allow for great accessibility while maintaining strong interaction between participants. The conference will be located in Victoria, Canada, which is close to a dense network of academics and companies in the greater Vancouver area working on the themes covered by GI. We count on you to come and participate in GI 2023!
We will arrange poster sessions, hands-on workshops, and multiple social events including on-site lunches and a gala dinner. These are all great opportunities network with leading researchers in the field, to reach students looking to contribute to industry and academia and to influence the future of graphics, interactivity and visualization. We will also present multiple awards, including the CHCCS/SCDHM achievement award, service awards, early career researcher award, and multiple student awards.
